Saturday mornings

I tried to make tee times last Sat. morning and Sat. July 15, in the morning.  Both not available because of outside groups.  Last Sat. the shop sent me to Tuc National, for a miserable 7:30am shotgun on the Mountain course. 

Remember when Sat. morning was sacrosanct.  I guess all the promises and committments by the sales team are out the window.

Greens!

Greens were in good shape.  Seemed like the 1st time in months that crew mowed greens to a typical speed. 

Seems like the groundskeeper mows the greens correctly about 3 weeks every year.

Improvements to men's locker

Noticed entire men's bathroom ripped out.  Is this a waste of money or what?  Always liked the shower area.  I guess this is how the bigshot designers plan to waste what's left of the $30million.

There are some very interesting proposals, eg rearranging the Health Club configuration and moving the golf shop to the southside and making it the restaurant.   This would make for awesome views.  All very expensive I'm sure.   But, instead, I guess we will have the 'lipstick on a pig' approach, with new carpeting and bathroom tile.

Hate to look a 'gift-horse' in the mouth, but I am disappointed in the members who are placated with new carpeting (and /or new chairs).

Wonder who Sarver's gang will fire next.
